deVere South Africa Takes Charity Initiative
Over the past couple of months, the deVere Group South Africa, in conjunction with Sovereign Trustees (Cape Town), has been planning the Superheroes to Chase fundraising initiative.
BIRKIRKARA, MALTA, July 01, 2011 /Personal Finance PR News/ -- The intention of this initiative is to raise funds and awareness for Cerebral Palsy, represented by Chase Winshaw, a 2-year-old boy suffering from the disease. There is cutting edge stem cell surgery available in Germany that has increased the quality of life of its recipients by up to 70% and we would like to contribute towards getting Chase to Germany to have this surgery and possibly other children in the future.
How are we raising the funds: We have enticed 70 runners to be part of the initiative to walk/run the Knysna Half marathon (21.1km) on 9 July, next weekend, and get sponsored to do so. All the runners will be running in matching T-shirts and red or blue capes to show our unity as Superheroes to Chase.
